Molecular formula/chemical symbol :Cr2K2O7
Description :
Orange red luster crystal grain or powder. Bitter taste. No moisture
absorption or deliquescence (different from sodium dichromate). Strong heat
about 500 ℃ when decomposition for chrome oxide and potassium chromate. In
hydrochloric acid when cold don‘t work, the hot happened chlorine gas. Soluble
in cold water or 1.25 ten copies of a hot water, not soluble in ethanol aqueous
solution, the acid reaction. Relative density 2.676. Melting point 398 ℃ (into
brown liquid). Have strong oxidizing, and organic friction or impact can cause
burning. Toxic, minimal lethal dose (rabbit, subcutaneous) 10 mg/kg.
USES :
For system chrome alum. Match, chromium pigment, and for tanning, electroplating, organic synthesis, etc. Determination of sodium thiosulfate solution as the standard of reference. Drop analysis set chloride. Antioxidant. Chromatographic analysis reagent. Organic synthesis. Determination of liver function HuangDan index. Inspection feces, etc.
