Description :
Platinum is silvery white metal (face-centered
cubic crystal), grey sponge metal. Soluble in aqua regia, molten alkali. Is
soluble in hydrochloric acid and hydrogen peroxide, hydrochloric acid and
perchloric acid mixture. Powdered platinum can absorb hydrogen, oxygen and
carbon monoxide. Grey sponge metal, pure, no visible to the inclusion. Density:
21.45 melting point: 1769-1773 ℃ boiling point: 3827 ℃.
USES :
1. Used for synthetic
ammonia oxidation system nitric acid 2. Used in the manufacture of jewellery,
wires, laboratory containers, thermocouple, corrosion resistant equipment,
dental materials, platinum powder can be used as a catalyst 3. Electrical
instruments, chemical industry and manufacturing precision alloy etc. 4. Used
in the manufacture of precision alloy 5. Used as a catalyst, antioxidant and
gas absorption agent.
