Recently, Guangxi Titan New Material Technology Co., Ltd. and Nanning Normal University officially signed the "Cooperation Agreement for the Technology Development Project on a Database of Metal-Based Compounds". The company and the university will jointly undertake the technical development of a materials data system for metal-based compounds, further strengthen industry–university–research collaboration, and contribute to the high-quality development of Guangxi‘s new materials industry.

Guangxi Titan New Material Technology Co., Ltd. specializes in the R&D, application, and industrialization of new materials. The company has strengths in the industrial application, commercialization, and engineering implementation of metal-based compounds, high-purity inorganic materials, and specialty powders. The School of Chemistry and Materials at Nanning Normal University has a well-established team of materials researchers and well-developed research capabilities in fundamental materials research, data mining, and computational characterization of material properties.

Under the agreement, the company and the university will jointly develop a specialized database of metal-based compounds. The database will systematically collect, organize, and validate standardized data on the composition, crystal structure, physicochemical parameters, preparation processes, performance metrics, and applications of various metal-based compounds. The database platform will support data retrieval and ongoing updates. The project outcomes will support the screening of new material formulations, the prediction of material properties, and the rapid development of new products. They will also help reduce trial-and-error costs in new materials development and advance R&D on new materials based on critical metals.

This collaboration combines the company‘s strengths in industrializing new materials with the university‘s research expertise and talent resources. It will help bridge the gap between fundamental materials research and industrial applications, while also promoting the standardization of data resources for new materials. Building on this project, the company and the university will continue to expand their cooperation in several areas, including joint R&D efforts, personnel exchanges, and the translation of research outcomes into practical applications. Drawing on Guangxi‘s strengths in non-ferrous metal resources, the collaboration will help develop new quality productive forces and support innovation and upgrading in the regional new materials industry.
